The editor shows an exclamation mark when the technical quality of your photo isn’t sufficient.
The editor checks the resolution of your image. This isn’t about the file size in MB, but about the number of pixels in the image. The larger your IXXI, the higher the resolution needs to be for a sharp result.
For the best result, we recommend using an image of 600 to 1000 pixels per 20x20 cm IXXI card.
Want to check your image resolution yourself?
On a computer: right-click the file → Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac). You’ll find the pixel count under “Dimensions.”
On a smartphone: open the image in your gallery or editing app; the resolution or dimensions are usually shown there.
