An IXXI is designed to hang on the wall without a frame, but you can also frame it for a different look. Hanging an IXXI in a frame works the same way as on the wall, only the entire piece is placed inside the frame.
Framing with glass
For a frame with glass, choose a frame large enough for your IXXI and check that the cards fit behind the glass. Mount the IXXI as you normally would on the wall, but on the back of the frame or a sturdy panel. Make sure the material is flat and strong enough to hold the IXXI securely. Allow approximately 0.6 cm of space between the frame backing and the glass.
Framing without glass
For a frame without glass, choose a frame slightly larger than your IXXI. Mount the IXXI as you normally would on the wall, on the back of the frame or a sturdy panel. Without glass, the matte finish of the cards remains fully visible and the installation has a more spacious effect.
Stylish framing with paneling
Want to create a framed effect without a real frame? Place the IXXI within the paneling of a wall or use individual wooden slats as a decorative frame. Mount the IXXI as you normally would on the wall and let the paneling or slats visually frame the piece. Leave enough space around the cards and keep the distances even for a clean and stylish result.
